Dr. Bishop has wanted to be a vet all her life. After getting a job in high school as a receptionist at a clinic in Burlington her excitement and passion for veterinary medicine was ignited. Throughout high school and university she worked at several clinics in the surrounding area.
Dr. Bishop completed a degree in Life Sciences from McMaster then was accepted in to the Ontario Veterinary College, where she graduated from in 2005. She has worked in the Oakville area for her entire career.
The bond between a pet and their family is of the utmost importance and during each visit Dr. Bishop strives to understand what makes each patient special to their family. She creates a space and visit where the pet feels safe and the clients feel heard and understood.
Dr. Bishop has a special interest in ultrasound and internal medicine.
When not caring for her patients Dr. Bishop can be found spending time with her husband and 2 cats, Kiara and Luna, at the cottage or browsing used book stores.
