Dr. Xavier has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since third grade, growing up in a home full of animals. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph and began working at Sixteen Mile Veterinary Clinic first as a summer student and then becoming a true veterinary assistant. She then obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. Matthew's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grand Cayman, completing her clinical year at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Xavier was thrilled to return to her Sixteen Mile family in the fall of 2024 to begin her career as a veterinarian. Passionate about the connection between human and animal health, she values the vital role animals play as companions and in the community. Committed to preventive care and education, she strives to improve the well-being of pets and their families. In her free time, Dr. Xavier enjoys skiing, hiking, travelling, and relaxing at the cottage with her two vizslas, Winston and Franklin, her cat, Oslo, and her bunny, Dorian.
