We are excited to welcome Dr. Sarah Bishop to Sixteen Mile Veterinary Clinic. Many of you know her from her years of caring for pets in Oakville, most recently at Abbey Animal Hospital. Now, she is here with us, ready to see familiar faces and meet new ones.
About Dr. Bishop
Dr. Bishop has aspired to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. Her journey began in high school when she worked as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic in Burlington. This experience ignited her passion for animal care. After completing her Life Sciences degree at McMaster University, she was accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 2005. Since then, Dr. Bishop has dedicated her career to serving pets and their families in the Oakville area.
Her Approach to Veterinary Care
Dr. Bishop believes that the bond between a pet and their family is one of life’s most important relationships. She takes the time during each visit to understand what makes every patient special, creating an environment where pets feel safe and their families feel heard. She has a particular interest in ultrasound and internal medicine, bringing advanced diagnostic expertise to her work.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, Dr. Bishop enjoys spending time at the cottage with her husband and two cats, Kiara and Luna. She also loves exploring used bookstores in search of her next great read.
